Two Georgian citizens have been arrested for membership in the Islamic State terrorist organisation and Illegal purchase, storage and carrying of firearms and ammunition, the Georgian State Security Service said on Wednesday.
The body said it had conducted raids on four locations in two regions of the country and seized explosive devices and materials, ammunition, electronic devices and paraphernalia of the terrorist group.
The agency also said it was taking actions to identify other individuals involved in the group’s activities.
