103 eco-migrant families to receive homes in rural Georgia

Over 100 families affected by natural disasters in various parts of Georgia will receive accommodation and land across rural parts of the country, Georgia’s Ministry of Health said on Tuesday.
The Internally Displaced Persons, Ecomigrants and Livelihood Agency will purchase housing for 103 displaced families selected by a commission involved in the initiative.
The beneficiaries will be able to select their residences over a period of six months, with the real estate provided on plots of land.

Up to 300 internally displaced (IDP) families will receive houses in rural areas of the country from the Internally Displaced Persons, Ecomigrants and Livelihood Agency, the state body announced on Friday.
State grants for expanding businesses will be granted to 29 internally displaced persons and ecomigrants engaged in entrepreneurship in Georgia, the Agency for Internally Displaced Persons, Ecomigrants and Livelihood announced on Monday.
The Georgian government will hand over new flats to 5,000 internally displaced families within two years, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said today.
An “unprecedented” large-scale programme for providing accommodation to internally displaced families in Georgia will provide new housing for 13,000 families in the country over two years, with Georgia’s Prime Minister highlighting the matter as a “priority direction” for the Government.
