Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Friday said the country’s authorities were ready to implement all conditions for receiving the European Union membership candidate status, and noted “we hope our efforts will be appreciated and soon Georgia will join the European family”.

In his speech at the opening of a session of the Francophonie Parliamentary Assembly, Garibashvili noted the country had "defined the path of European integration from the very first years" of restoration of national independence, and “we follow this path carefully, with great determination and will”.

From our side, we are ready to implement all the recommendations that have been set out and we hope that our efforts will be appreciated and soon Georgia will join the European family”, Garibashvili told the audience.

“Moreover, few countries globally can boast of having implemented all the reforms that made Georgia a successful country in the fight against corruption, budget transparency, reduction of red tape, promotion of business creation”, the Government head continued.
