Georgian Economy Minister Levan Davitashvili on Monday met Miri Regev, the Minister of Transport and Road Safety of Israel, in Tbilisi to discuss economic cooperation and opportunities for deepening ties in transport and logistics.
The Ministry of Economy said the parties also talked about deepening cooperation between naval schools of the countries and civil aviation cooperation.
The number of passengers travelling from Israel to Georgia increased by 32.7 percent between January-May year-on-year, the sides noted in their discussion.
Dynamics of bilateral trade were also reviewed at the meeting, along with the recent conclusion of the feasibility study on free trade agreement between the two states. The first round of talks for the deal is scheduled for 2024.
