Georgia's eastern Marneuli municipality is hosting the 2023 Georgian Archery Championship with the support of the Sports Ministry, the country’s National Archery Federation and the municipality’s Sports School, the Marneuli City Hall announced on Saturday.
Kenan Omarov, the Mayor of Marneuli Municipality attended the opening of the championship along with Simon Nozadze, the President of the National Archery Federation of Georgia, Artem Sanishvili, the Federation’s General Secretary, as well as Mamuka Naveriani, the Vice President of the Federation and the Director of the Sports School.

In his address Omarov said he was delighted and honoured that the municipality was always “actively” involved in both national and international sports competitions and had “many successes” in this direction, adding his office “supported the development of sports and promotion of a healthy lifestyle”.
The tournament will reveal the participants of the 2023 European Indoor Archery Championships, the 19th edition of the European Indoor Archery Championships, which will be held in the Turkish city of Samsun from February 13 to 18.
