Revaz Omiadze, an ophthalmologist, said one of the injured patients, who had undergone eye surgery, was stable and would be discharged from the clinic today.
A retired military veteran killed five individuals, including a police officer, and injured another five in Georgia’s eastern Kakheti region before committing suicide on Friday.
The 49-year-old offender, who had served in the country’s Defence Forces between 2006 and 2021, including in the NATO-led peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan, shot the victims from balconies of a flat in the city of Sagarejo, before committing suicide as police in riot gear broke into the flat.
