Mobile services across Georgia had more than 5.8 million users over the past five years, the National Communications Commission said on Wednesday in its summary of 2022 statistics.
The figure comes from the five-year statistics and was reached as the country’s population was measured at 3,736,400 as of January 1.
The Commission said the statistics meant each customer in the country had more than one mobile number on average, and picked deals from across services of different operators.
It also added the penetration of the mobile services market in the country had increased from 160 to 170 percent last year.
Among operators, MagtiCom held 42 percent of the market share, with Silknet at 33 percent and Beeline at 25 percent.
The Commission said all three operators had increased their average per subscriber monthly income year-on-year in 2022, with the figure reaching ₾14.1 ($5.43) for MagtiCom, ₾12.1 ($4.66) for Silknet and ₾7.7 ($2.97) for Beeline.
