Customers of USA2GEORGIA, a Georgian-based international shipping and parcel forwarding company, will not lose possession of their parcels due to payment deadlines while their complaints against the company are pending, following a ruling by Tbilisi City Court.
The National Competition Agency, the body reviewing the complaints, on Tuesday said the Court had approved its request to ensure items delivered by the company from the United States to Georgia but without delivery fee paid by the customers would not be transferred into possession of USA2GEORGIA after the 30-day deadline for payment prescribed in the company’s terms.
The decision will ensure the items are kept in ownership of the customers while their cases against the company - submitted over various complaints - are being reviewed by the Agency.
Customers of the company have submitted 107 complaints to the Agency, with 58 cases being studied by the regulatory body.
The latter also said it would release its final ruling on the article in the company’s terms of service by the end of January.
