Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili on Friday met Bo Li, the Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, and Teresa Czerwińska, the Vice President of the European Investment Bank, in the United States to review cooperation with the institutions.
The Ministry of Finance said Khutsishvili thanked Li for supporting the reform agenda of the Georgian Government. The officials also discussed fiscal and monetary policy issues at the meeting.
At his meeting with Czerwińska, Khutsishvili discussed the implementation of EIB-supported projects in Georgia aiming to support “priority directions” of the country. The Ministry also noted the EIB was one of Georgia’s largest partners and investor institutions.
The meetings were held as part of Khutsishvili’s official visit to the United States this week to participate in annual meetings of boards of governors of various financial institutions.
