Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, along with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, visited the canning factory and ASAN Service centre in the northern Azerbaijani city of Gabala, the Government Administration said on Saturday.
During his official visit to Azerbaijan, Garibashvili got acquainted with the production process at the “most advanced” canning factory in the South Caucasus region, located on a 13-hectare area, producing about 100 types of products and exporting them to various countries including Georgia, the United States, Greece and Germany, as well as Latvia and Estonia.
The Georgian Head of the Government also inspected the work of the ASAN Service centre, which provides a unified and coordinated implementation of the state agencies’ services “efficiently, transparently and responsibly”.
Garibashvili started his visit to Azerbaijan on Friday and held a joint press conference with Azerbaijani President, highlighting the strategic partnership of the countries and discussing joint projects, including the Black Sea submarine cable international project, officially signed last year after its initiation by Georgia, to allow export of green energy to Europe.
