The Environmental Supervision Department of Georgia found 730 cases of illegal hunting and violation of hunting regulations across the country over the past two years.
The Department told local press on Wednesday its statistics showed three bears, three little bustards and a long-legged buzzard - in the Red List of Threatened Species of the International Union for Conservation of Nature - had been killed by hunters during the reported period.
It also said 60 individuals were fined ₾27,000 ($10,611) for the violations, with verbal warning issued to a further 191 offenders.
In 15 cases, the administrative proceedings were terminated, with 109 cases ending without determined outcome and 349 offences recorded without known offenders.
