Cooperation between Georgia and the United Kingdom was discussed on Thursday in an informal setting between the Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and his British counterpart James Cleverly, who is on an official visit to the country.
The officials emphasised the significance of the visit and reviewed “important” issues of cooperation between the two countries, the Georgian foreign service said.
Pleasure to welcome Foreign Secretary James Cleverly. While displaying mesmerising views of night Tbilisi to my colleague, I had an opportunity to discuss a set of themes of bilateral agenda with him. I'm sure, this visit will contribute to broadening cooperation”, Darchiashvili tweeted.

In the framework of the visit, the top British diplomat will meet Georgian officials and civil society groups.
He will also visit the administrative line separating the Russian-occupied regions from the rest of the country to be introduced about the current situation in areas adjacent to the line.
