Georgia reports 5,596 new cases of coronavirus, weekly positivity rate stands at 9.63%

Georgia has reported 5,596 new cases of coronavirus, 2,946 recoveries and 47 deaths in the past 24 hours. The weekly positivity rate for tested individuals stands at 9.63%.

A total of 58,109 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 34,115 of the 58,109 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 23,994 were PCR tests.

3,180 of 5,596 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Tbilisi, while the remaining cases were recorded in:

  • Adjara – 638 cases
  • Imereti – 563 cases
  • Kvemo Kartli – 173 cases
  • Shida Kartli – 270 cases
  • Guria – 135 cases
  • Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 219 cases
  • Kakheti – 184 cases
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 102 cases
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti – 99 cases
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 33 cases

Overall 2,565,599 individuals have received at least one dose of any vaccine in the country so far, while 1,174,297 have been fully vaccinated.
