The current world champion French national football team will wear uniforms made by Enterprise Georgia’s beneficiary Adjara Textile in the FIFA World Cup final, Enterprise Director Mikheil Khidureli announced on Thursday.

The uniforms made by Adjara Textile were worn by Italy’s national football team at the UEFA European Championship in 2012 and 2016, as well as by the Croatian team in 2018 at the World Cup. The factory has been an official manufacturer of Nike in Georgia and has been supplying sportswear to 33 national teams and football clubs around the world, including Germany’s Borussia Dortmund and England’s Newcastle.

The Adjara Textile, originally located in Georgia's west, has expanded to the central-eastern city of Rustavi with the support of Enterprise Georgia [the economic development agency of Georgia], which aims to improve the business environment, support the development of the private sector, and promote the country’s investment climate and exports.

Enterprise Georgia was created in 2014 with the initiative of the Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili to ensure dynamic economic development. It combines three "interconnected layers of economic development": business (Produce in Georgia programme), export (Trade with Georgia), and foreign direct investment attraction (Invest in Georgia).
