Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili will feature in a ministerial meeting of the Eastern Partnership on Monday, with the event bringing together European Union foreign ministers and their counterparts from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
The ministerial will be held under the chairmanship of Josep Borrell, the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, the press office of the Council of the EU said.
The discussion will provide an opportunity to reflect on the future of the Eastern Partnership, as well as on security challenges and consequences of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine for the Black Sea region.
The EU body also said ministers would in particular discuss how to best support EU partners’ resilience, bring the bloc and its Eastern partners closer together, and ensure the advancement of rule of law and reforms in the entire region.
Participants will also review how to accelerate delivery of the Economic and Investment Plan as a key tool to advancing the green and digital transitions, and boosting socio-economic recovery throughout the region.
