Georgian deputy economy minister Genadi Arveladze will visit South Korea between Monday and Wednesday to hold talks on a bilateral investment agreement between the countries, the ministry announced on Monday.

As part of the visit, Arveladze is planned to feature in the third round of negotiations on the agreement on promotion and protection of investments with Korea.

The ministry said the deal would contribute to the protection of private capital and stimulate the implementation of Korean investments in Georgia and vice versa.

The first official round of negotiations on the investment agreement between the two states was held in June 2021, after consultations had started in 2019.
