The prosecutor’s office of Georgia has charged two individuals with sexual abuse of a minor and domestic violence against a teenage daughter, the state body announced on Thursday.
In its statement the body said on November 19, in Georgia’s western Khelvachauri municipality, the offender committed physical violence against her minor daughter for returning home late and threatened to kill her.
The second individual was charged with sexual abuse of a minor on Sunday. The state body said he was charged in absentia because of avoiding communication with the law enforcement authorities.
The crimes are punishable by up to nine years imprisonment.
