Georgian fencer Alexandra Kuvaeva became the champion of the European Fencing Confederation’s Cadet Circuit Sabre in Istanbul, the sports ministry announced on Sunday.
The 15-year-old fencer played 11 matches at the tournament and won all of them, earning 48 points.
Georgian fencers’ participation in the tournament was funded by the Georgian ministry of culture, sport and youth.
