Tamaz Bestaev has been appointed as the head of the administration of South Ossetia, the government administration said on Friday.
Georgian prime minister Irakli Garibashvili met the newly appointed official to congratulate him on his selection for the position and promise support in his work.
Bestaev, who replaced Dimitri Sanakoev after the latter left the position recently, headed the healthcare and social security service at the administration over the past 15 years.
