Georgia’s national rugby team will face Uruguay, Samoa and Wales in test matches between  November 6-19.

Matches against Uruguay and Samoa are set to be hosted in Georgia on November 6 and 12, while the fixture against Wales will take place at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on November 19.

Georgian rugby union president Soso Tkemaladze revealed the calendar to the Georgian public broadcaster on Thursday, and told the channel the rugby union would do “everything possible” to enable supporters to attend the game in Cardiff.

In separate comments on setting up infrastructure across Georgian regions for promoting the sport, Tkemaladze said the governing body wanted to replicate the celebrations seen following the Georgian team’s win over Italy in the Black Sea city of Batumi in July to fans in other regions of the country.

Explaining challenges in the task, he said the national body was limited by a lack of appropriate facilities outside major cities, and named the capacity of stands as a particular problem.
