The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia has urged Georgian citizens in Ukraine to follow recommendations of the Ukrainian government on security measures on the ground, after Russia moved in troops into the country on Thursday.
In its response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the ministry said the occupant’s actions will have severe consequences not only for Ukraine, but also for the entire international community.

The ministry also said Georgian diplomatic institutions in Ukraine continued to work on the ground in an emergency mode, on the backdrop of the escalation in the crisis around the country.
