Georgian prime minister Irakli Garibashvili on Thursday discussed the “unprecedented growth” of the country's economy on the backdrop of the global recession, as well as current economic trends and ongoing and planned investment projects with Vazil Hudak, his special adviser for foreign investments.
The government administration said the PM had praised the government’s “proper and prudent policy” which he said had led to the growth, and noted maintaining the “positive trend” was a “top priority”.
Garibashvili also emphasised the importance of attracting foreign investments for economic development and stressed additional investments would ensure faster economic development in a bid to provide “greater incomes to Georgian citizens”.
