Georgian defence minister Juansher Burchuladze is featuring in a meeting of NATO ministers of defence in Brussels, the Georgian ministry said on Wednesday.
Burchuladze has already held a meeting with secretary general Jens Stoltenberg, and will also attend a meeting of the contact group of Ukraine in the Rammstein format organised by the US department of defence.
The meeting will focus on the current situation in Ukraine, the country's “needs and opportunities”, as well as future prospects and the opportunities of NATO member and non-member states to provide help to it.
Burchuladze will also meet admiral Rob Bauer, the chair of the NATO military committee, to review security challenges and questions of strengthening NATO-Georgia compatibility.

Deepening practical cooperation between the country and the alliance for strengthening the former’s defence capabilities will also be discussed.
The Georgian minister is also scheduled to meet David Cutler, the NATO assistant secretary general for intelligence and security.
