Garibashvili stressed Georgia remained committed to expanding cooperation with France, not only in security but also in the direction of deepening ties with the European Union.

The sides also emphasised the importance of France’s support in Georgia’s European integration process, while the head of the government thanked Dumont for supporting the process, Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The conversation also touched on the ongoing war in Ukraine and the situation in the South Caucasus, with officials stressing the need for “close” political dialogue on European policy issues.
