175,500 tonnes of grapes processed in harvest in Georgia’s winemaking Kakheti region

The Georgian government has allocated ₾150 million (about $53 mln) in subsidies for the 2022 seasonal harvest. The government said in August it would subside the harvest due to the “record-high grape yield”, with PM Irakli Garibashvili pledging “not a single kilogram of grapes will be left behind” in accepting produce from farmers.
