Coronavirus: Georgia reports 13,288 new cases, 21,183 recoveries, 51 deaths

A total of 153,881 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.

Georgia has reported 13,288 new cases of coronavirus, 21,183 recoveries and 51 deaths in the last 24 hours. The daily positivity rate stands at 27.89 percent.

A total of 153,881 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.

Overall, 47,640 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 28,888 of them were rapid antigen tests, while the remaining 18,752 were PCR tests. 

Georgia has had a total of 1,539,493 Covid-19 cases since February 26, 2020. 

1,369,764 of the 1,539,493 infected individuals have recovered, while 15,822 have died from the virus.

The new 13,288 cases were recorded in: 

  • Tbilisi - 6,242 cases 
  • Adjara - 843 cases 
  • Imereti - 1,887 cases
  • Kvemo Kartli - 656 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 799 cases 
  • Guria - 476 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 937 cases 
  • Kakheti - 803 cases
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 341 cases
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 213 cases
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 91 cases
  • NCDC head: 70% of population needs to be vaccinated by July to stop pandemic

5,703 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,256 of them are in intensive care units. 287 patients are on artificial ventilation. 

147,214 individuals are undergoing treatment at home.

1,346,247 individuals in the Georgia have received at least one dose of Covid-19 the vaccine so far, while 1,239,949 have been fully vaccinated, which makes up 43.2 percent of the country's adult population.
