Revenue service moves preliminary declaration of customs goods to electronic form

The revenue service of the ministry of finance of Georgia on Thursday said preliminary declaration of goods in customs procedures across the country would be moving to electronic form starting from Monday. 

The agency said preliminary declarations would be facilitated through the official website of the revenue service.

It also noted free zone procedures would be an exception while declarations could still be presented in physical form.

Individuals involved in international trade have already been informed about the change through their user accounts on the website, the service added.
