Georgian Greco-Roman wrestler Nugzar Tsurtsumia won the silver medal in the 55 kg category at the Greco-Roman World Championships in Belgrade, the Georgian Wrestling Federation said on Sunday.
The 25-year-old athlete collected the silver after conceding the final match of the weight division 0:8 to Azerbaijani’s Eldaniz Azizli.

Tsurtsumia was the world champion at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships in Kazakhstan.
Zurab Datunashvili, an athlete of Georgian origin representing Serbia at the competition, was crowned the world champion after defeating Denmark’s Turpan Ali Alvievih Bisultanov 6:2 in the 87 kg category. The 31-year-old has claimed the title of the strongest Greco-Roman wrestler of the world for the second time in a row.
