Benjamin Kemper, an established American travel journalist, is in Georgia to prepare articles about the country for “highly rated American media” such as the Daily Beast and Saveur, the Georgian National Tourism Administration said on Friday.
The Administration, which has been hosting bloggers and travel advice reporters from different regions in a bid to raise international awareness about the country, noted Kemper was working with international media outlets including Bloomberg, CNN, Condé Nast Traveler, National Geographic, The Daily Beast, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, Thrillist, Time, Saveur and others.
Being introduced to notable locations in capital Tbilisi, the American journalist was also hosted in the country’s eastern winemaking region of Kakheti and northwestern mountainous Svaneti province.
Kemper will produce articles about Georgian adventure tourism, hiking, bird watching, wine and cooking following his trip.
The Administration said the articles would “further promote Georgia as a tourism destination” in the United States and other countries.
