Strategic partnership and close bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Türkiye were discussed on Wednesday between deputy foreign ministers of the two countries.
The officials noted the importance of holding the third meeting of the high-level Strategic Council, the Georgian foreign office said, while discussing current developments in the Black Sea region and the role of Georgia and Türkiye in promoting stability and peace in the region.
The Turkish delegation once again confirmed its “strong support” for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia, as well as for Georgia's integration into NATO.
The diplomats reviewed prospects for deepening trade and economic cooperation and attracting investments, while underlining the importance of active interaction between the two countries in the field of transport, energy and customs issues.
They also discussed questions of regional cooperation, the importance of implementing joint projects and the need to “fully utilise” transit and transport potential of the two countries.
