Journalists from France, Türkiye, India, Korea and Egypt are visiting Georgia to explore the country's tourism potential as part of a press-tour organised by the Georgian National Tourism Administration, the national body announced on Wednesday.

The group of international travel reporters were hosted in the Old Town part of capital Tbilisi and tasted the country’s cuisine, while today they will attend the Mestia International Short and Mountain Film Festival hosted in the north-western highland region of Svaneti this week.

Later during their trip the journalists will also visit the western Imereti region of the country.

The Administration said the visiting reporters would prepare articles for “highly rated publications” with “tens of millions of readers” in France, Türkiye, India, Korea and Egypt about the country’s visitor potential and the Festival.
