Georgia’s national Greco-Roman wrestling team has claimed five medals, including two gold, at the U17 World Championship in Rome.

The team’s haul included medals by Anri Putkaradze and Gor Ayvazyan, who earned gold medals in 75 and 92 kg sections.

Saba Surmanidze (55 kg), Aleksandre Rusitashvili (65 kg) and Luka Gelashvili (80 kg) claimed bronze medals in their respective weight categories.

The Georgian team finished third with 121 points at the Championship.

The World Championship closed in the Italian capital on Wednesday.
