Georgia reports 22,263 new cases of coronavirus, 39 deaths

Georgia has reported 22,263 new Covid-19 cases, 15,575 recoveries, and 39 deaths in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate for the past 14 days stands at 25.24%.
Overall 203,238 remain infected with coronavirus in Georgia.
A total of 73,821 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 46,355 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 27,466 were PCR tests.
1,272,371 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia since February 26, 2020.
A total of 1,053,966 of 1,272,371 patients have recovered, while 15,141 have died from the virus.
Overall, 1,804 cases of the Omicron variant have been confirmed in the country as of February 4.
The 22,263 new cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi - 10,129 cases
- Adjara - 2,173 cases
- Imereti - 3,357 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 1,340 cases
- Shida Kartli - 1,279 cases
- Guria - 456 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 1,480 cases
- Kakheti - 1,091 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 479 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 376 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 103 cases
A total of 5,808 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,146 patients are in critical condition out of which 271 are on artificial ventilation.
195,472 people are undergoing treatment at home.

The national vaccination plan will need to aim to vaccinate 70 percent of the population by the end of July if health authorities in Georgia are to stop the pandemic in the country, Head of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze said on Thursday.
Georgia has reported 23,664 new Covid-19 cases, 8,326 recoveries, and 42 deaths in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate for the past seven days stands at 23.40%. Overall 196,589 remain infected with coronavirus in Georgia.
Individuals entering establishments in Georgia that had required green pass for access will be able to enter the venues without having to present it, Chief of Operations at the Interagency Coordination Council Giorgi Ghibradze announced earlier today.
The hospitalisation rate for those infected with coronavirus in Georgia has decreased from 20% to 4.5%, Georgian health minister Zurab Azarashvili said earlier today. Azarashvili said over 8,000 beds were available at hospitals for patients, up to 4,500 of which had been occupied over the last two weeks.
A total of 385 vaccinated people and 10,532 unvaccinated individuals died from Covid-19 in Georgia between March 15-December 31, 2021, the latest report of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reads.
Georgia has reported 23,134 new cases of coronavirus, 17,594 recoveries and 33 deaths in the last 24 hours. The daily positivity rate stands at 30.36%.
