Aluda Zviadauri, a 42-year-old Georgian volunteer killed in Ukraine, was buried with military honours in the village of Gombori in eastern Georgia’s Sagarejo municipality on Tuesday.
The body of Zviadauri was transferred to his house in the village on Sunday.
The volunteer was shot by the Russian occupation forces on the front line while helping save wounded people in the city of Sievierodonetsk in eastern Ukraine.
Since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, 16 Georgian volunteers have died on frontlines in the country.
