American Hospital Tbilisi will provide medical services to Ukrainian refugees in Georgia with the support of the United States International Development Finance Corporation,  the US Embassy to Georgia said on Wednesday.

The programme also offers war-affected Ukrainians unable to receive healthcare in their home country medical services - including surgical procedures, pediatric-adult inpatient care and diagnostics - in Georgia.

Georgia’s Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia noted her Government had provided emergency assistance and basic medical services to Ukrainian refugees in Georgia since the beginning of the conflict in their country, noting within the new programme the American Hospital Tbilisi would join the initiative with “renewed resources and opportunities”.
