Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and his Armenian counterpart Nikol Pashinyan on Saturday discussed political and economic relations between two countries during the former’s visit to Armenia.
The officials noted the ongoing “fruitful” cooperation in the fields of economy, transport, logistics and culture, as well as trade relations, the Government Administration said.
The meeting also focused on the situation in the Black Sea region and the importance of joint efforts to address the existing challenges, with the PMs expressing readiness for future cooperation and a deepening of the existing “close and friendly” relations.
Garibashvili and Georgian Government officials were invited on a one-day working visit to Dilijan, a town in northern Armenia, by Pashinyan.
The Prime Minister is also scheduled to address a “high-level” economic forum in Qatar on Monday.
