Armenian Finance Minister visits Georgia to deepen cooperation

Armenian Finance Minister Tigran Khachatryan and the head of the country’s State Revenue Committee Rustam Badasian are on a visit to Georgia with the goal of deepening cooperation and sharing experience between authorities of the two states, Georgia’s Ministry of Finance announced on Friday.

The visit of the two officials has been designed to facilitate experience-sharing in public finance management, accounting, reporting and audit supervision, the body also noted.

The delegation met the Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili as well as the Head of the Revenue Service of Georgia, Levan Kakava, with revenue services of the two countries signing the Protocol on the Full Implementation of the Preliminary Electronic System of Data Exchange. 

"The protocol gives the parties the opportunity to exchange information in advance on cargo and vehicle traffic between the borders of the two countries. Implementation of the protocol will facilitate effective cooperation between customs administrations, enforcement of security requirements and legal trade", the Ministry said.
