The average monthly salary in Georgia went up by ₾190 ($65/€62) in the first quarter of 2022, marking a 15.1 percent growth compared to the same period of last year and totalling ₾1,446 ($495/€476), the latest data of the National Statistics Office of Georgia show.

Additionally, the office said in the majority of sectors, average monthly earnings of men were higher compared to women, with the data showing men earned about ₾511 ($174/€168) more than women each month in the first quarter of 2022.
As for the annual growth of earnings, the figure amounted to ₾162 (15.8%) for women and ₾222 (15.1%) for men.
The average monthly earnings of employees in the business sector increased by ₾196 (15.3%) for a total of ₾1,479 ($506/€487), while in the non-business sector the figure grew by ₾177 (14.6), totalling ₾1,390 ($476/€457), Geostat reported.
