Reporters from Bulgarian media outlets are on a visit to Georgia to explore the country’s tourist attractions before promoting them back in their country, the Georgian National Tourism Administration revealed on Tuesday.
Journalists from the Bulgarian national television programme Lifestyle and the magazine Biograph are hosted in the country and introduced to local tourist spots, culture, cuisine and wine, the Administration said.
They visited capital Tbilisi’s Old town districts before departing for the eastern winemaking province of Kakheti, where they will visit cities and towns of Tsinandali, Napareuli, Alaverdi and Sighnaghi.

A culinary masterclass has been hosted as part of the tour, where journalists had the opportunity to take part in preparing Georgian dishes and try them.
I was given the opportunity to taste Georgian dishes. You have a very tasty and different cuisine. Georgian cuisine will be one of the main topics in our programme, in which I will tell the Bulgarian TV viewers that Georgia is a travel-safe country”, journalist Martina Garicheva said in comments on the tour.
Another Bulgarian journalist, Georg Toshev, named Georgia as “the best country” among those he had visited over the past decade.
The press tour for the visiting journalists is organised by the GNTA and the Georgian Embassy in Bulgaria.
