Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Sunday congratulated Yazidis living in Georgia on the opening of the “only” Yazidi church in the Eastern European and post-Soviet region, the Government Administration said.
Garibashvili noted the establishment of the church, Ziarata Yezidi, was “a clear proof” of the “great tolerant” nature of Georgians and their respect for Yazidis, “promoted” by the political team of the ruling party.
The relationship built on brotherly and exemplary friendship between us spans many years. Together we are building the future of the country and taking care of its improvement and development, which is highly appreciated”, Garibashvili said.
The head of the Government also highlighted the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Spiritual Council of Yazidis in Georgia.
