Congressman Adam Kinzinger, the Co-Chair of the Georgia Caucus of the United States House of Representatives, on Wednesday called Georgia an “important ally” and “bulwark” against Russia following a meeting with Georgia’s US Ambassador David Zalkaliani.
Kinzinger noted he had had a “great meeting” with Zalkaliani, discussing both US-Georgia relations and the security challenges amidst the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
Had a great meeting with @DZalkaliani, Georgia’s new ambassador to the US. Lots to discuss, but especially the unprovoked war against #Ukraine. Georgia is an important ally and bulwark against #Russia pic.twitter.com/QGBTywRbB2

“Lots to discuss, but especially the unprovoked war against Ukraine. Georgia is an important ally and bulwark against Russia,” the Congressman tweeted.
Zalkaliani thanked the American official for his “vital contribution” to the adoption of the Georgia Support Act by the US House of Representatives, and stressed the approval of the bill was “critical and timely” in the light of the crisis and threats in the Black Sea region.
