Georgia's cooperation with the International Finance Corporation, the ongoing and future financial projects and their impact on the country's economic development were discussed on Tuesday in a meeting between Levan Davitashvili, the Georgian Economy Minister, and Ivana Fernandes Duarte, the Regional Director of IFC.
The meeting focused on the financial support of the IFC for the development of sustainable energy in Georgia and the implementation of green energy projects - a “priority” of the Government with its implications for economic development and energy security, the Economy Ministry said.
The sides highlighted support of the corporation in increasing the competitiveness of the Georgian private sector and stimulating exports. They also discussed other sectors of the economy, including tourism, where the corporation is implementing projects.
