The priorities of Georgia-European Union cooperation, reforms implemented in the country for approximation to EU standards, and  the “dynamic process” of implementation of the 2014  Association Agreement were discussed on Wednesday in a meeting between the Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and the European Commissioners for Transport, Crisis Management and Environment.

The meeting focused on Georgia's application for European Union membership and further steps, highlighting a "new stage” of relations between the sides.

The officials noted how “important” it was to reflect Georgia's progress on the European integration path in "relevant decisions and future plans" of the European Union.

At the meeting with the European Commissioner, reforms implemented by Georgia in various directions were positively assessed.

The officials agreed to pursue “active work” to implement the priorities set out in the Association Agreement.
