A National Statistics Office of Georgia survey released on Monday showed 31 percent of enterprises in Georgia used social networks in 2021.
Geostat released the survey on IT technology use at enterprises, which also showed the establishments mostly used Facebook, LinkedIn and other networks.
Overall, 84.2 percent of enterprises had access to the internet by the end of last year, Geostat said, adding 75.3 percent of enterprises used fixed infrastructure such as fiber-optic, cable and DSL connection to provide internet connection at their premises.

By January 1, 2022, 28.8 percent of employees used portable computers or smartphones provided by enterprises that allowed internet connection for business use, while the share of enterprises using websites stood at 13.4 percent, Geostat said.
In 2021, 6.4 percent of enterprises in Georgia introduced new or "significantly improved" goods on the market, while the share of enterprises that introduced such services was 5.4 percent, the latest data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia on Monday shows.
The Georgian National Communications Commission is taking action to introduce 5G internet in Georgia by 2020, announces the commission. The commission announced that it had already carried out "large-scale work" to instal 5G internet infrastructure and soon will announce a tender for telecommunications companies.
