Georgian Education Minister, UK counterpart discuss cooperation

Questions of deepening education and science cooperation between Georgia and the United Kingdom were discussed by Mikheil Chkhenkeli, the Georgian Education Minister, and Nadhim Zahawi, the United Kingdom Secretary of State for Education, on the sidelines of the Education World Forum in London on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the Georgian Minister invited the British officials to Georgia, the Ministry announced earlier today, adding the British Council had organised the visit of the Georgian delegation to the London Forum.

Chkhenkeli held several high-level meetings within the Forum, including with Rick Herman, the Vice President of Education at Microsoft, Mark East, the General Manager for Microsoft Education at Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Alexa Joy, Microsoft's Director of Digital Transformation and Skills Development.

The World Education Forum this year gathered 112 officials and company representatives from across the world.
