US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan has expressed her hope that the ruling Georgian Dream party and the opposition will work together in the "best interest" of Georgia.
Ambassador Degnan further encouraged the opposition United National Movement (UNM) to enter the Parliament.
We will be thrilled to see the ruling party and the opposition work together on initiatives that are in the best interest of this country. This will take negotiation, this will take time, this will take back and forth, but that’s how they function, she said.
Ambassador Degnan added that Georgia has made an "impressive progress" in terms of building democracy, but there is "a lot more" to do.
