The United States welcomes Georgia’s “active support” in multilateral efforts to call out Russian aggression and to support the Ukrainian people, Derek Chollet, the Counselor of the US Department of State, said following his meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Thursday.
The US official, on a two-day visit to Georgia for consultations with Georgian partners on European security and democratic development, also said he had discussed the two countries' bilateral partnership with Garibashvili in capital Tbilisi.

Chollet began his visit to Georgia on Wednesday and held meetings with the Georgian Government officials and the representatives of the country’s opposition parties over the last two days.
