Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili on Friday visited the village of Guturi in western Georgia’s Chokhatauri Municipality to inspect a newly built school for locals.
Built for 150 students - with 92 currently attending classes - the school has 12 classrooms and is equipped with a library, computer room, as well as cabinets, medical section and other amenities, the Government Administration said. An open-air sports ground has also been set up outside the building.
Education Minister Mikheil Chkhenkeli and Irakli Karseladze, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, informed the Government head about the implemented works at the location in the Guria region.
The school was built under a ₾2,345,000 ($ 3,03/€ 3,15) project from the state budget by the Municipal Development Fund.
