The Georgian national flag is among those of the countries of the world supporting Ukraine in its defence from the Russian invasion, displayed on a special edition uniform of the Ukrainian national football team and revealed this week.
Andrii Pavelko, the President of the Ukrainian Football Associations, on Tuesday revealed the release of the United for Ukraine uniform, to be worn by the country's football team in its friendly matches as part of 2022 World Cup preparations.
The uniform shows an outline of the map of Ukraine, made up of flags of the states that support Ukraine in the war against the Russian attack that started in February.
As part of the support campaign, the national team will also wear limited issue T-Shirts before kick-offs ahead of its World Cup playoffs.
In his Facebook post announcing the initiative, Pavelko said funds raised from the matches would be transferred to United24 - an international fundraising platform for the reconstruction of Ukraine after the conflict.
