Georgia and Turkey on Wednesday signed an agreement on road transport traffic that defines all current issues in the field, the Georgian Economy Ministry announced.

During a two-day meeting of the Georgian-Turkish Joint Committee, the countries discussed issues of international road traffic, including compliance with the requirements of the intergovernmental agreement on road traffic, the establishment and exchange of quotas for bilateral road traffic permits, and regular passenger traffic, the Ministry said.

Additionally, the discussion focused on “recent obstacles” to road traffic matters, optimisation of transport quotas and additional allocation of Turkish freight permits for Georgia.
